The Great Fred Astaire Tradition

The Fred Astaire Dance Studio tradition began in 1947, when Mr. Fred Astaire, considered to be the greatest multitalented dancer of all time, personally developed a practical, interrelated dance curriculum for the first Fred Astaire Dance Studio on New York's Park Avenue.  Through the decades that followed, the company expanded internationally, respectfully adhering to the basic principles of dance instruction established by its Maestro, Mr. Fred Astaire.

Today, the Fred Astaire National Dance Board, comprised of world dance champions, registered judges and highly certified instructors, constantly studies and reviews this curriculum to ensure that only the finest, up-to-date dance plan programs are being offered to novice, intermediate, and expert dancers.
